EKU went 4-14-1 (2-7-1 OVC) last season, finished ninth in the league standings and missed out on the OVC Tournament for the second consecutive year. However, the Colonels return all but one starter from last year’s team, including leading scorer Cassie Smith (seven goals, one assist in 2014) and OVC All-Freshman Team selection Emmi Carroll (five goals, one assist in 2014). The returning talent, along with 10 promising newcomers, has the Colonels very optimistic entering the 2015 season.

The Colonels open the regular season at Western Carolina on Friday, August 21, at 7:00 p.m.
