Boston College Golden Eagles(3-2) take on the Home team Louisville Cardinals(2-2). This game on paper looks to be pretty evenly matched. BC has a total offense average of 473.2 yards a game UL’s 437.5 yards per game. Conversely UL is averaging 344.2 yards total defensive to BC’s 438.6 yards.
Both teams have huge question marks at Quarterback. The first and second option for Louisville have been battling injury. The healthiest QB is Freshman Evan Conley.
Another factor in the game could be the crowd. 12:30 kickoff time could keep the home crowd away today even though the fans seem to have been behind first year Coach Satterfield and this years Cardinals. With ten Minutes to go before kick the stands only appear to be about 1/3 full.

Anthony Johnson picks off a Grosel pass to give the Cardinal offense the ball back. Malik Cunningham returns to the game with this series. But, the Cards offense fail to move the ball and give BC the ball back on the 30.
Boston College answers with a 70 yard drive to close the gap 38-36.
After some back and forth Boston College makes a 45 yard field goal to take the lead 39-38 with 3:32 to in the game.
Evan Conley leads the Cardinal offense starting at the 25 yard line. Blanton Creque nails the 41 yard field goal with 1:02 to play. Cards take the lead 41-39. Which proves to be the game winner!
This game came down to which team was going to outlast the other. The two teams totaled 1227 yards of offense. Cardinals 664 total yards to Boston College’s 563.
Both backup quarterbacks did a good job of running their respective offenses. Boston College’s Dennis Grosel was 9 of 24 with 111 yards and 3 TD ‘s. Louisville’s Evan Conley was 10 of 16 with 114 yards and 1 TD.
The announced attendance was 46,007. I was surprised that more fans didn’t show up on the most beautiful day all week. Hopefully with this win against an admirable opponent the Cardinal faithful return to support this team.
