The Bengals dropped to 0-7 today with a 27-17 loss. The Jaguars dominated the game as the Bengals failed to get a running game going early, and only accounted for 33 rushing yards for the game. Joe Mixon was hit in the backfield on almost every carry, and only accounted for 10 carries for 2 yards, but did have a 2 yard receiving touchdown in the 2nd quarter that kept the game close early.

The one bright spot in the Bengals offense was Alex Erickson who caught a career high 8 passes for 137 yards. University of Kentucky’s Josh Allen recorded his 4th sack leading all rookies, Coming into today’s game Allen was ranked 6th in pressure rate in the NFL and that pressure forced Andy Dalton into 3 interceptions,

Dalton said in the Press Conference after the game ” We just have to be better, but when your one dimensional it’s tough”! The Bengals will have a very difficult time getting their first win next week when they travel to London to face the Rams, who dominated the Atlanta Falcons to get their 4th win of the season.

The Bengals are still without their star wide receiver A.J. Green who they hope they can get back after their Bye in week 9 and hopefully get on a winning track.
