Tampa Florida Pickup Basketball built a double-digit lead in the second quarter, but the Dunkin’ Dogs (Louisiana Tech Alumni) clawed back with a 10-0 run to make it 62–59 heading into the Elam Ending. With the Target Score set at 70, Tyree Appleby (22 points) had a chance to win it at the line, sinking only two of three free throws needed to win. On the following possession, Isaiah Adams stepped up with the game-winning bucket to clinch the win for Tampa.

2024 Semifinalists Eberlein Drive got out to a 13-2 lead early and did not look back. Double digit scoring from five players and an Elam Ending winner by Anthony Clemmons carried the TBT veterans to a 81-63 victory.

War Ready, the Auburn alumni team, was able to pull away from X-Rayted in the fourth quarter to secure the first round win. Strong defence from War Ready held X-Rayted to only 29.5% shooting from the floor. Wendell Green Jr. (18 pts) and Malik Dunbar (14 pts) accounted for over half of War Ready’s points on the way to a 61-55 victory.
