That was interesting??!!

They say you should always start an evaluation with a positive, then negatives, and finish with a positive.

Let’s start with a positive.  The Kentucky fans showed up in a big way today.  I was totally shocked that Kroger field was nearly as full as the Mizzou game last week. The student section was the only place that was a little lacking this week. (Noon game against the Mocs)

Let’s move into the “not” positive portion for a moment: 1) lackadaisical entrance into the coin flip by the Captians.  Normally they try to pump up the crowd from the tunnel to mid field.  Their disposition seemed almost like why are we here today? 2) The offensive and defensive line were manhandled all day long!  Today was a major step back from the first two games this season where the line of scrimmage belonged to the Cats. 3) The offense was so one dimensional again….first half pass dominate, second half run dominate. 4) Mental penalties!!!!!!! Too many mental errors to count…false start after false start.  Then how in the world does the nose tackle McCall get a penalty for defensive holding on a pass play as an interior lineman?? Never seen that before.

Last negative.  As a season ticket holder and life long supporter of the Cats I was very disappointed in todays execution of whatever they thought the game plan was.  So far this season the offense had been attacking whatever the defense presented.

Let’s end with some positives: 1) Kentucky is 3-0,  2) Defensive score to put Kentucky in front. 3)CROWD CROWD CROWD!!!!

As a fan in the stands(not looking at stats) this was a disappointing win today, but a win none the less.
