  • Nebraska limited Oklahoma to seven first-half points. It marked the first time Oklahoma had been held under 10 points in the first half since being tied with Ohio State 3-3 at half in 2017. It was the first time the Sooners were limited to single digits in the first half at home since being held to six points by Notre Dame in 2012.

  • With 289 passing yards, quarterback Adrian Martinez eclipsed 1,000 passing yards for the season. Martinez became the first player in school history with four 1,000-yard passing seasons. He reached 1,000 passing yards in his fourth game of the season, joining Tommy Armstrong Jr. in 2015 as the only Huskers to throw for 1,000 yards in the first four games of a season.
  • Martinez accounted for 323 yards of total offense, his 16th career game with 300 yards of total offense, extending his own school record. Martinez completed 19-of-25 passes for 289 yards and one touchdown while adding 17 carries for 34 yards and one score.

  • Senior nickel back JoJo Domann recorded a career-high-tying 12 tackles in today’s game, matching his 12 tackles against Penn State in 2020. Domann made eight tackles before halftime. It was Domann’s fourth career double-figure tackle game.  Domann added a TFL and a pass breakup.
  • Cornerback Quinton Newsome had a career-high seven tackles in the game, while recording his first career pass breakup and second career tackle for loss.
  • Punter Will Pryzstup made his first start of the season today and connected on a 51-yard punt on his first attempt. It was the longest Nebraska punt of the season and Pryzstup’s sixth career punt of at least 50 yards.
  • Nebraska senior kicker Connor Culp connected on a career-long 51-yard field goal in the first quarter, bettering his previous career long of 49 yards at Purdue last season.
  • Culp’s field was Nebraska’s first from beyond 50 yards since Drew Brown made a 51-yarder against Purdue in 2016. The 51-yarder ties for the 12th-longest field goal in school history and the fifth-longest in a road game.
