Cincinnati Reds coverage sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau and Susan Cable

On June 4th, the Reds stood at 26-33 following a loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Reds would then go on a 15-2 run including 12 straight to take over the Central Division lead. Going in to the All-Star break, Cincinnati has a 50-41 record including 24-8 since June 4th.

The Reds have a chance at something special if they can hold off the 2nd place Brewers. It doesn’t hurt that the Reds are playing in one of the weakest divisions in all of baseball.

Cincinnati has been able to ride it’s wealth of young talent to include Elly De La Cruz, who has appeared , so far, to be on track to be a true star. The Reds also recently got back Joey Votto from the Injured List.

The Reds can capture the division if play .550 ball. This would mean they would go 40 and 31 the 2nd half of the season. That would put the Reds at 90 wins and 72 losses which should be enough to win the Central Division.
