One thing about the Champions Classic, It is full of greatness.
It has 4 great teams, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas & Michigan State.
It has 4 of the greatest coaches ever. Mike Krzyzewski – Duke, Tom Izzo – Mich. St, Bill Self – Kansas & John Calipari – U.K.
Those teams also sport coaches who are at the top of the All-Time Wins List for coaches. Krzyzewski leads the Nation in all time wins as an NCAA Coach at 1170 wins.

Coach Cal was at #12 with 784 wins, Bill Self was at #19 with 729 wins, and Tom Izzo is at #31 with 643 wins. 

As for the 4 teams in the Champions Classic, three are in the top four in all time wins with Kentucky leading the way.  Michigan State is the only team in the Classic outside the top 4. They come in at #27 with 1758 wins in 121 seasons.

Just how great are the four teams in the Champions Classic? Well, they are all at or near the top of most Final Fours. Kentucky #3 has 17, Duke #4 has 16, Kansas #5 has 15 and Michigan State #6 with 10. Only North Carolina with 20 and UCLA with 18 have more Final Four Appearances. Duke is now 7-4 against the other 3 Champions Classic opponents, While UK is 5-6. Kansas is 6-5 and Michigan State is 4-7.

Is there a better Classic anywhere else in the County? Maybe the CBS Classic which has the top 3 teams in Final Four Appearances with North Carolina, UCLA, Kentucky and Ohio State rounding out their field of teams. The Champions Classic is full of greatness and fun to watch.
