Knoxville, TN 10-29-22
#19 UK traveled to #3 Tennessee in hopes of pulling the upset over the suddenly potent Volunteers. Things did not work out as planned as Tennessee crushed Kentucky 44-6. Tennessee has now won 8 games in a row and looks to run the table if they can get by top ranked Georgia next week.

Kentucky however is headed the other direction after starting the season 4-0. The Wildcats have found SEC competition a little more than they had planned. Excluding the early season win over a Florida team having a down season, UK is 1-3 against SEC opponents and now stand at 5-3. Kentucky is now 2-2 against ranked opponents with all 4 teams being SEC teams.

Kentucky was dominated in every aspect against the Vols. Tennessee had 177 yards rushing to Kentucky’s 107 yards. Tennessee also had 245 net yards passing to Kentucky’s 98 net yards passing. Levis, who has struggled with turnovers all season, tossed 3 more interceptions against the Vols. Levis is now 2nd in the SEC with 8 interceptions.

Kentucky fell behind early after a 55 yard bomb from Hooker to Hyatt but came right back down the field and scored on a Rodriguez 3 yard run. That would be all the points Kentucky would muster as the Vols would score the final 37 points of the game.
