The Breathitt Ladycat faced off against Pike Central in a Wednesday afternoon contest at the Coliseum in Jackson. Pike Central jumped out to a 17-5 first quarter lead and it looked like this game was over before it started. The problem was, somebody forgot to tell the Ladycats. Breathitt clawed back in to the contest outscoring Pike Central 16-6 to go into halftime trailing 23-21. Riley Bush paved the way in the comeback with 8 second quarter points.

The second half was a back and forth battle but Pike Central qould manage to pull away late in the 4th and would win 54-48 on their opponents home court. Breathitt would manage just 4 free throw attempts in the game while committing 14 fouls.Pike Central managed to hit 10-13 foulshots while committing just 9 fouls for the game. Their 10made foul shots proved to be the difference in the game.

Breathitt was led in scoring by Riley Bush & Kaylea Ritchie with 12 points. Brenley Gross tallied 11, while Maddie Haddix had 9. Emily Neace finished the scoring with 4 points. Jerrica Neace & Lexie Combs both played but did not score.

Pike Central was led in scoring by Emalie Tacket with 21 points. Abby Hood had 11, Hannach May had 10, Kennedy Hamilton had 8 and Lindsey Bowman finished with 4. Abby May & Larch Stanley played but did not score.
