The Music City Bowl was expected to be low scoring game with two pretty good defenses and questionable offenses with new QB’s. Iowa would score the only offensive touchdown while the Hawkeye defense would come up with 2 pick six. All the scoring happened in the 2nd quarter. If you did not like a defensive smash mouth game, then this game was not for you. Iowa would shut out the punchless Wildcats 21-0.

Iowa finishes the season 8-5 while UK dropped to 7-6. Kentucky had hopes of a 10 or 11 win season but struggled all season long to gain any footing.
