Warren Central vs. Murray 3.18.22
Starting this last game of the evening session here at the UK Healthcare Boys’ Sweet 16, these team will battle it out for the last spot in the Final Four. This game is off to the races as early on we get into a shoot-out with each time knocking down shot after shot each time down the court. 5:10 left to play here in the 2nd quarter, Warren Central is working their way back into this one before the half; you can tell that each side is fighting to do everything they are able to just to get as many plays in for their team as possible. With a little bit over a minute to play here before going into the halftime break the score is 33-28 with Warren Central being down by 5 points, they are fighting to cut that lead even farther down before going into the locker room. After coming for the 2nd half both teams are ready to get back in the game, over the course of the 3rd quarter each side was fighting to get ahead and as we are little over 3 minutes into this last quarter of basketball here it is 39-44 with Warren Central over Murray. During a long hard-fought game between each team Warren Central was able to pull off the 54-48 win against Murray to earn the last spot in the Final Four, they will face Covington Catholic 1:30 PM to battle it out for a championship spot which will take place later in the evening in Rupp Arena. During the post-game conference Murray’s coach and players all spoke highly of their teammates as well as Warren Central, it was very clear to everyone during that press conference that these guys know it is more than a game at the end of the day, they wished every team playing tomorrow the best of luck in advancing to the next round.
